Late Night Productivity

I stayed up late last night and made these two skirts:

Start to finish: 2 episodes of How I Met Your Mother. (Approx: 1 hour)
Super simple, and she loves them!

Anyone else enjoy a guilty pleasure while they work?

Monday {Valentine's Day}

I loved today.
And this morning I was feeling sorry for myself because the husband told me he didn't get me a Valentine.

6 confessions

Leigh-Ann over at Freckled Nest shared her 6 confessions, and I thought it would be fun.

1.) I love american cheese singles on crackers.

2.) I imagine other people's houses decorated in my taste.

3.) I overheard my mom telling someone about something I had made, and I kinda got teary-eyed.

4.) I really hate arguing. I generally just shut down and stop talking when presented with an argument.

5.) Sometimes I fake a bad memory. When I was in school I felt like a fool on several occasions because of my super-good memory. (for example: Recognizing someone, knowing their name and where I knew them from. And in return, they have no idea who I am.)

6.) I don't flush in the middle of the night. (Yuck, I know.)

You can find more confessions here and here. Join in, and link up! I'd love to read your 6 confessions.

It's in the Air.

Hope everyone has a beautiful Valentine's Day!

Makin' it Work.

Madeline has gotten very picky about her clothes. She wants skirts, dresses and "straight" clothes. This last one is a little hard to explain, but basically nothing that bunches up.

These pants weren't working for her. The print is way too cute to just cast off without another thought.
I decided to make it work for my girl.

Voila!
A skirt!

And a flower head band!

I'm very happy to say that she loves them both. BIG WIN!

There's a matching hoodie, but I didn't get a picture while she was wearing it.

Anyone else have to presto-chango every now and then for the sake of your kids?

Party Time!

While working on her Valentine cards Madeline said to me, "This is taking forever."
Tell me about it.

Such a good job...sending them all "TO" herself. I mentioned that she should write on the "FROM" line, and she made this frustrated, "stop telling me what to do" sound, so I let it go.

Cookies for both classrooms. Sent them off this morning and just a few minutes ago, I see this on Prudent Baby.

Oh Sheet!

Yep, I made Topper a full set of sheets for his big boy bed! Everything matches now. He is very much into everything matching.

I used 5 yards of Kona Grass Green. It feels so nice. Wish I could make some for myself, I'd probably even use the same color.

I wanna win!

Rachel Denbow is giving away her e-course to THREE lucky readers! I'd love to win one. You can follow the link and purchase the e-course, or enter to win!

It looks like lots of fun and easy projects.

The Day the Music Died.

In honor of the 51st Anniversary of the "Day the Music Died", I took the kids to the Buddy Holly Center.
Go here if you'd like to read a little about Buddy.

There's lots of neat stuff inside, including Buddy's glasses that were recovered from the wreck site. I'd love to show pictures of some of it, but no pictures allowed inside. Oh well.

Gives any out of towners a reason to head out to Lubbock!
